I had amazing weather for an early-fall overnighter to Pender Island, camping at Shingle Bay. The morning ride to the ferry at Swartz Bay was bright and crisp, and the day turned out to be warm and sunny. The riding on Pender was hilly and fun. The night on Shingle Bay provided one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve been fortunate enough to experience.
