Deep Balance
Bodywork

Grounded, attentive massage therapy informed by movement, breath, nervous system regulation, and a curiosity about how we experience and inhabit our bodies.

Each session is a collaborative process.

Massage therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, pay attention and work directly with what is present in the body. Each session begins with the individual: how you are feeling, what you are experiencing, and what you would like support with that day.

Deep Balance brings together therapeutic massage, careful listening and an interest in movement, breath and body awareness. The intention is to create a treatment that feels responsive while working toward greater ease, comfort, awareness and connection within the body.

Listening first.

I approach massage therapy with curiosity and attention to the individual experience each person brings with them. Treatment can adapt to what we find together through conversation, assessment, touch and response.

My work is informed by an interest in movement, breath, nervous system regulation and embodiment. These perspectives can support the more clinical goals of massage therapy while also making room for rest, awareness and a greater sense of connection with the body.

Responsive to
the person.

01

Begin with listening

We begin with a conversation about how you are feeling, relevant health history, what you have been noticing in your body and what you would like to focus on. Assessment may help us better understand what is contributing to your experience and shape a plan for the session.

02

Work with what is present

Treatment is adapted throughout the session according to your goals and response. Pressure, pace, positioning and techniques can all change as needed, allowing the work to remain attentive to what feels useful and appropriate in the moment.

03

Leave space to integrate

A session may finish with reassessment, a moment to notice what has changed, and a conversation about next steps. When useful, simple movement, awareness or self-care practices can help carry the work beyond the treatment room.
